The best way to predict the future is to invent it – Alan Kay
Future, the time period after present…does it happen or do we make it? This is a very contradicting question. Some say future depends on our past activities and some say future holds something better. So what exactly is future all about? It is something which will happen tomorrow, no matter what.
We certainly look at our future and plan it. We know what we will do tomorrow. We plan our tomorrow for our better future, which means we make it. At the same time, we can’t predict future. No matter how much we plan our tomorrow, we can’t control it. Things will happen the way it has to and we cannot change it, as you cannot escape your fate, which means that future happens. So what is it actually?
| Future is subjective and varies from person to person. I believe future happens. People can foresee the future only when it coincides with their own wishes. Future is what will happen tomorrow, how much ever we may run from it. Future is unpredictable and unseen. It is tomorrow, which none of us have experienced. We live in present and dream about future. Tomorrow is a mysterious possibility, not yet born. A quote by Douglas Adams " I seldom end up where I wanted to go, but almost always end up where I need to be" describes that even if we plan our future, what is written in our destiny shall happen. Tomorrow is a dream which we cannot touch, but if we follow them, they will lead us to our destiny. | | |
The past gives you an identity and the future holds the promise of salvation, of fulfillment in whatever form. Both are illusions - E. H. CHAPIN
